Cisco Legal Jobs Contract

This Contract (the «Contract») is entered into as of the Effective Date by and between Cisco Systems, Inc. («Cisco») Employee (the «Employee»).

1. Definitions
1.1 «Cisco» shall mean Cisco Systems, Inc., a corporation organized and existing under the laws of the State of California.
1.2 «Employee» shall mean the individual who is engaged in the provision of legal services for Cisco.
2. Employment
2.1 Cisco hereby agrees to employ the Employee as a legal professional in the Legal Department, and the Employee agrees to accept such employment, subject to the terms and conditions set forth in this Contract.
2.2 The Employee shall perform the duties and responsibilities assigned by Cisco, which may include but are not limited to: legal research, contract drafting, and advising on legal matters.
3. Compensation
3.1 In consideration for the services provided by the Employee, Cisco shall pay the Employee a competitive salary, in accordance with the prevailing market rates for legal professionals in a similar role.
3.2 The Employee shall also be eligible for performance-based bonuses and other benefits as per Cisco`s policies and practices.
4. Term Termination
4.1 This Contract shall commence on the Effective Date and shall continue until terminated by either party in accordance with the provisions set forth herein.
4.2 Either party may terminate this Contract with or without cause, upon providing a written notice of termination to the other party, in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations.
5. Governing Law
5.1 This Contract shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without giving effect to its principles of conflicts of law.
